Gross-to-net estimate for Bavaria
The Bavaria page separates nationwide calculation rules from the state-related input. It does not claim a local distinction that is not supported by a primary source.
What can change with the federal-state input?
The estimate keeps workplace state as a separate assumption because state-related treatment must not disappear inside a general default. Church tax is included only when you explicitly state that it applies.
- Church tax: 8.0% of the assessment base in Bavaria, 9.0% in most other federal states.
- Care insurance: Bavaria splits the contribution evenly between employee and employer. Only Saxony departs from that.
Both values come from the 2026 data set, last checked on July 27, 2026.
What remains governed nationally?
The wage-tax basis and most social-insurance figures come from national sources. Tax class and contribution status remain personal inputs, not characteristics of Bavaria.
Check before comparing
- Is Bavaria the correct workplace state for this scenario?
- Does the church-tax input match your actual liability?
- Did you select your health fund instead of a reference value?
- Are parent status and children under 25 recorded separately?
